GSPANN is hiring a Systems Engineer to manage Linux and enterprise storage environments, leading incident resolution, backups, and shift operations for critical infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage enterprise Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu), including OS installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and hardening.
- Support user account, permission, file system, service, and kernel parameter management, including performance tuning.
- Optimize system performance by troubleshooting issues related to CPU, memory, storage, networking, and application performance.
- Develop automation and scripting capabilities using Shell, Python, or Ansible.
- Manage and provision enterprise SAN/NAS storage platforms, including LUNs, storage pools, RAID groups, volumes, and snapshots.
- Ensure visibility into storage capacity, utilization, performance, and availability.
- Support troubleshooting of storage connectivity issues involving Fibre Channel (FC), iSCSI, multipathing, and zoning.
- Drive storage migration and expansion activities.
- Manage enterprise backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, and Veeam.
- Ensure compliance with backup policies and recovery objectives through backup monitoring, restoration requests, disaster recovery validation, and troubleshooting.
- Lead Linux and Storage operations as Shift Lead, driving complex incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers during major incidents, participating in on-call support and rotational shift schedules.
- Build incident reports, technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge articles.
Skills and Experience
- Hold a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification; a Red Hat Specialist, NetApp, Dell EMC, or other storage vendor certification, or ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.
- Bring strong expertise in RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux, or Ubuntu, along with system performance tuning, filesystem management (XFS, EXT4, LVM), and shell scripting and automation.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with SAN and NAS technologies, Fibre Channel and iSCSI environments, and storage provisioning and capacity management across platforms such as EMC Dell, NetApp, Hitachi, IBM, or Pure Storage.
- Apply experience with enterprise backup tools, including Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, or Backup Exec.
- Work with ITIL processes across Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Utilize strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills gained in 24x7 Managed Services or Global Capability Center (GCC) support environments.
- Manage critical production incidents independently, including leading technical bridge calls as the primary technical resource for Linux and storage escalations.
- Develop junior engineers through mentoring and guidance, demonstrating strong ownership, customer focus, and operational excellence.
