GSPANN is hiring a Network Engineer to provide L2 support for enterprise network infrastructure, resolving incidents and maintaining routing, switching, and firewall systems.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Support Level 2 (L2) operations for enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Manage day-to-day incident resolution by troubleshooting network connectivity, routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless-related issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Implement standard firewall and router rule changes in line with approved change management procedures.
- Develop network configuration changes, including VLAN creation, port configuration, Access Control List (ACL) implementation, Network Address Translation (NAT) changes, VPN configuration, and onboarding of new network devices.
- Drive patch management activities, including firmware upgrades, OS upgrades, configuration backups, and compliance verification for network infrastructure.
- Ensure visibility into enterprise network health using tools such as SolarWinds, Logic Monitor, Cisco DNA Center, NetFlow, and Wireshark.
- Optimize network performance by investigating and resolving issues, including latency, packet loss, interface errors, link failures, and bandwidth utilization.
- Lead packet capture, log analysis, interface diagnostics, and root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring network incidents.
- Design and configure enterprise routing, switching, firewall, and wireless infrastructure while adhering to security standards.
- Build and maintain network documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, knowledge base articles, configuration records, and operational procedures.
- Support planned maintenance, change windows, and on-call production support activities.
- Collaborate with Senior Network Engineers (L3), security teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors on issue resolution and project execution.
- Drive continuous operational improvements by identifying recurring issues and recommending process or infrastructure enhancements.
- Ensure network security, stability, and high availability across enterprise environments.
Skills and Experience
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or an equivalent discipline, and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification; a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise, Fortinet NSE Associate, Palo Alto Networks PCCET, or ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.
- Bring 4–7 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in an L2 Network Operations role.
- Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with Cisco Routing and Switching, enterprise LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP networking, VLAN, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Rapid STP (RSTP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) basics, Network Address Translation (NAT), and VPN (IPSec/SSL).
- Apply experience with enterprise firewalls, including Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, and Fortinet.
- Work with standard firewall rule changes, router configuration changes, ACL management, port configuration, and VLAN creation.
- Manage firmware upgrades, patch management, configuration backups, and compliance verification.
- Utilize network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, including SolarWinds, Logic Monitor, Cisco DNA Center, Wireshark, and NetFlow.
- Develop familiarity with Cisco and Aruba networking devices, along with basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Bring exposure to Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting for network automation, which is an advantage.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and the ability to collaborate in a global enterprise environment.
