GSPANN is hiring a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant to lead Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) ABAP support across the SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscape. The role focuses on debugging custom objects, troubleshooting interface errors involving Process Integration / Process Orchestration (PI/PO) and Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and enhancing Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF) objects.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) ABAP support across the SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscape.
- Drive root-cause analysis on short dumps (ST22), update terminations, and performance issues to keep production stable.
- Develop fixes for custom object failures across Intermediate Document (IDoc) processing, Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI) calls, Business Add-In (BADI) implementations, and User Exits.
- Support interface troubleshooting across middleware such as Process Integration / Process Orchestration (PI/PO) and Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), especially for SAP Ariba, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and third-party systems.
- Build and maintain custom reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, ABAP List Viewer (ALV) reports, and SAP Scripts.
- Manage Data Dictionary (DDIC) objects including table maintenance, views, search helps, domains, and data elements.
- Implement code reviews, performance tuning, and unit testing across the team.
- Collaborate with functional teams on root-cause analysis and preventive actions for recurring issues.
- Optimize cross-functional technical problem-solving in partnership with BASIS and Integration teams.
- Ensure documentation for solutions, change requests, and issue logs aligns with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field – SAP certifications in ABAP or S/4HANA development are an advantage.
- Bring strong hands-on SAP ABAP development and support experience.
- Demonstrate expertise across Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF).
- Apply Intermediate Document (IDoc) troubleshooting and Application Link Enabling (ALE) configuration in production scenarios.
- Work with Enhancement Framework constructs — User Exits, Business Add-In (BADI), and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements.
- Develop in Object-Oriented ABAP and Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF), which is an advantage.
- Utilize Workflow troubleshooting and enhancement techniques.
- Bring exposure to SAP functional modules — Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Financial Accounting (FI), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and SAP Ariba integration.
- Manage support cases using SAP Solution Manager or ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
- Apply strong debugging and performance tuning techniques.
- Demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Work with Agile or ITIL-based support environments.
