GSPANN is hiring a skilled SAP ABAP Support Consultant to deliver L2/L3 support and enhancements across SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in RICEF, debugging, IDoc/ALE, and performance tuning.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) support for SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
- Investigate and resolve system issues, including short dumps (transaction ST22), update terminations, and performance bottlenecks.
- Debug custom object failures in areas such as Intermediate Document (IDoc) processing, Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs), Business Add-Ins (BADIs), and User Exits.
- Troubleshoot integration issues involving middleware like SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration (PI/PO) or Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)—particularly for systems such as Ariba, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), or other third-party platforms.
- Enhance and support custom developments, including SmartForms, Adobe Forms, ABAP List Viewer (ALV) reports, SAP Scripts, and bespoke reports.
- Manage Data Dictionary (DDIC) objects, such as table maintenance, views, search helps, domains, and data elements.
- Participate actively in code reviews, performance tuning, and unit testing to ensure code quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with functional teams to perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring technical issues.
- Coordinate with BASIS and integration teams to resolve cross-functional technical problems efficiently.
- Maintain thorough documentation for solutions, change requests, and incident logs in alignment with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and support.
- Demonstrate expertise in Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).
- Troubleshoot IDocs effectively and configure Application Link Enabling (ALE).
- Possess SAP certifications in ABAP or S/4HANA development (optional but highly valued).
- Bring experience working in Agile or ITIL-based support environments.
- Apply strong debugging skills and proven performance tuning knowledge.
- Work confidently with the Enhancement Framework, including User Exits, BADIs, and implicit/explicit enhancements.
- Understand Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP) and Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) (preferred).
- Handle workflow troubleshooting and contribute to workflow enhancements.
- Show exposure to SAP functional modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), EWM, and Ariba integrations.
- Utilize SAP Solution Manager or common ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Communicate clearly and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Apply analytical thinking and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Work independently and collaborate effectively in a global team setup.
