Senior Android Engineer

GSPANN is hiring a Senior Android Engineer to design and build high-quality Android applications, focusing on clean code, performance, and mentoring junior developers.

• Design and develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Lead code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Implement unit tests to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement new features.
• Drive architectural decisions and improve development processes.
• Ensure application stability by troubleshooting and resolving bugs and performance issues.
• Develop expertise in the latest Android technologies and trends.
• Support the CI/CD process to ensure smooth and efficient releases.
• Lead mentoring efforts for junior developers, providing technical guidance.

• Bring 5+ years of experience developing Android apps with a track record of launching successful projects.
• Demonstrate understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), frameworks, and technologies.
• Apply strong oral, verbal, and listening communication skills to influence the broader engineering team and understand differing points of view.
• Work with Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Demonstrate understanding of the Android SDK and performance monitoring tools.
• Develop and deliver features using Agile methodologies.
• Work with product, design, Quality Assurance (QA), and engineering peers to determine the best way to meet business requirements.
• Manage code reviews for the team and provide thoughtful feedback.
• Utilize performance monitoring tools to proactively improve the app's technical performance.
• Apply technical expertise in discussions with fellow engineers.
• Develop familiarity with Jetpack Compose, which is an advantage.
