GSPANN is hiring a Senior Manager, Search and AI Visibility to own how the company is discovered across traditional search engines and AI answer engines. The role covers AEO, GEO, Traditional SEO, and third-party presence, with the goal of increasing the share of AI-generated answers in which GSPANN is cited by name.
Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own organic visibility for GSPANN across Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.
- Build a prompt set of the questions enterprise buyers ask and run it on a fixed schedule across those engines.
- Report citation share as the primary metric for the function, alongside rankings, organic traffic, lead volume, and paid performance.
- Direct the output of GSPANN's agentic content workflow so that pages carry question-shaped headings, self-contained answers, comparison tables, named clients, and verifiable figures.
- Build and maintain reusable Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills and agents for recurring SEO, AEO, content, and reporting tasks, and extend the agentic workflow already running at GSPANN.
- Assemble reporting dashboards that bring citation share, rankings, crawler activity, and organic traffic into one view, built on AI tooling and platform Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Automate the recurring parts of the function, including scheduled prompt-set runs, mention monitoring, competitor checks, and monthly reporting.
- Own schema markup, structured data, crawl configuration, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) crawler access rules across gspann.com, and analyze server logs to establish which crawlers fetch which pages.
- Maintain entity consistency so that GSPANN is described identically across every external property where the company appears.
- Claim and maintain GSPANN profiles on Business-to-Business (B2B) review directories including Clutch, G2, GoodFirms, and the vertical directories enterprise buyers shortlist from.
- Review generation cadence with delivery and account management teams and convert unlinked brand mentions into linked citations.
- Conduct competitor gap analysis to find pages and communities that cite our competition and do not cite GSPANN.
- Own traditional SEO execution across technical audits, the existing Semrush keyword program, internal linking, and rankings for commercial terms.
- Own cookie consent management for gspann.com across banner configuration, cookie categorization, the published cookie policy, and the tags that fire through Google Tag Manager (GTM) under each consent state.
- Keep measurement in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), HubSpot, Hotjar, and Google Search Console consistent with the consent choices visitors make, and document how consent limits what the reporting can show.
- Track organic and AI-referred visitors through to form fills and qualified leads in HubSpot, and use Hotjar session data to improve how landing pages convert that traffic.
- Manage small and intermittent paid search budgets
Skills and Experience
- 6–10 years of overall experience in organic search, including a minimum of 12 months of hands-on AEO or GEO work.
- Present evidence of AI visibility work, such as a prompt set, a citation tracking sheet, a competitor visibility audit, or a page rewritten for extraction with before and after numbers.
- Explain how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews differ as retrieval systems, and what changes for each.
- Apply working knowledge of schema markup, structured data, crawl behavior, and log-level analysis of crawler activity.
- Configure a consent management platform such as OneTrust or Cookiehub, and apply working knowledge of how the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable privacy rules govern marketing tags.
- Work hands-on in Semrush, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), HubSpot, Hotjar, and Google Search Console, and build reports in each.
- Operate in a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment, preferably IT services or enterprise technology, with long sales cycles and committee-based buying.
- Write clear English for outreach to editors, analysts, review platforms, and industry publications, and for the internal case behind site and content changes.
- Build your own AI tooling, from structured skill and agent instructions through to tool connections via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) or the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and test outputs before anything runs unattended.
- Show at least one working automation or AI skill built personally for a search, content, reporting, or outreach task, along with an account of what it replaced.
- Assemble dashboards using AI tooling and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, with light scripting in Python or JavaScript as required.
- Judge where automation earns its place and where it produces confident and incorrect output, and check results before they reach a stakeholder.
- Build and maintain relationships with delivery teams, account managers, review platforms, and external publications.
- Manage small paid search budgets across Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
- Operate as an individual contributor in the first phase of the role and build a team once volume justifies it.
