Roles and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade IBM MQ (Message Queue) managers along with related software components.
- Monitor MQ queues and systems continuously to ensure high performance and availability.
- Resolve MQ-related incidents by providing support, performing root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions.
- Deploy MQ application infrastructures in production while minimizing risk.
- Maintain and update operational documentation, including configuration records and troubleshooting guides.
- Advise on MQ features during application design and actively contribute to technical design discussions.
- Enforce compliance with MQ standards and organizational policies in all applications and configurations.
- Develop infrastructure capabilities to support new projects and manage testing environments.
- Train team members on MQ technologies and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in IBM MQ administration.
- Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce clear, concise documentation.
