Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) socket server and client components to support high-throughput, low-latency messaging systems.
- Implement multithreading and asynchronous programming techniques to ensure application performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Develop desktop applications using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and integrate them with Windows Services to support end-to-end business workflows.
- Integrate applications with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and serial communication interfaces while implementing robust error handling, retry mechanisms, and state management.
- Develop and maintain data persistence solutions using relational database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, and IBM Db2.
- Participate actively in Agile software development processes and comply with Information Technology (IT) change management standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production incidents and application issues within defined service timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in C#, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8, multithreading, asynchronous programming (async/await), and TCP/IP socket programming.
- Develop high-performance applications involving message parsing, communication protocols, and high-volume event processing.
- Apply advanced knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) to develop desktop user interfaces and integrate them with Windows Services.
- Work with Structured Query Language (SQL) data access patterns across multiple database platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, and IBM Db2.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Zebra Programming Language (ZPL) label generation workflows, application logging, diagnostics, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Utilize Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic Stack (ELK), and Grafana.
- Exhibit strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills in enterprise application support and development environments.
