GSPANN is hiring a Software Engineer for their Managed Services practice in Hyderabad. This role involves managing production operations, automating workflows, and ensuring system reliability using GCP Cloud, OpenShift, Big Data, Dynatrace, Python, Java, and SQL/NoSQL Databases.
Role and Responsibilities
- Identify issues proactively, resolve them efficiently, and communicate progress in a professional and timely manner.
- Analyze patterns to assess the overall impact of an issue and contribute to Root-cause Analysis (RCA).
- Monitor jobs, analyze failures, and collaborate with different teams to ensure resolution.
- Manage incidents, operations, and changes effectively.
- Automate operational tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct periodic reviews of tasks and automate repetitive processes.
- Improve the operational reliability and scalability of existing tasks.
- Deploy planned changes, monitor post-deployment performance, and create dashboards or alerts to track new system updates.
- Document work thoroughly to facilitate knowledge sharing among teams.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement and improve system functionality.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in production support and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Show proficiency in using Splunk and Dynatrace for monitoring and analysis.
- Work effectively with Apache Airflow for workflow automation.
- Exhibit strong technical documentation skills.
- Leverage additional knowledge in SRE, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and MongoDB as a value addition.
- Bring foundational knowledge in Google Cloud, OpenShift, microservices, and scripting languages such as Python and Shell scripting.
- Utilize ServiceNow, Jira, and other monitoring tools to enhance workflow management.
- Apply knowledge in Java programming when needed.
- Display excellent analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Uphold strong communication and professional skills.
- Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate courteously and effectively with customers and third-party vendors.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work night shifts on a rotational 24/7 basis.
